I’m no stranger to throwing myself in at the deep end. In 2016, I made a science documentary for Yle TV1 Prisma Studio about how to turn skinny fat into muscle. I was diagnosed as a skinny fat person at the start of the project. And as if that wasn’t enough, I was given a 12-week challenge to build as much muscle as I possible could, from scratch! With the help of the country’s best experts I put my mind to it and the results surprised even obesity researchers and scientists.
It was quite a personal challenge to change my sugar-loving and gym-hating lifestyle in such a short time frame but I managed to do it and the project changed my life in many ways. I now strength train 3-4 times a week and eat well. I am fitter and healthier now than I have ever been in my life.
