Minna Dufton is no stranger to throwing herself in at the deep end. In 2016, Minna made a science documentary for Yle TV1 Prisma Studio about how to turn skinny fat into muscle.
Minna was diagnosed as a skinny fat person at the start of the project. And as if that wasn’t enough, she was given a 12-week challenge to build as much muscle as she possible could, from scratch! With the help of the country’s best experts Minna put her mind to it and the results surprised even obesity researchers and scientists.
It was quite a personal challenge to change the filmmaker’s sugar-loving and gym-hating lifestyle in a short time frame but Minna managed to do it and the project changed her life in many ways. Minna now strength trains 3-4 times a week and is fitter and healthier.
